Short Description
Final Fantasy VIII" is a role-playing video game developed by Square and published in 1999 for the PlayStation. It is the eighth installment in the Final Fantasy series and the first to be translated into Italian. Set in a fantasy and science fiction world, the game follows the story of Squall Leonhart, a young mercenary from the Balamb Garden military school, involved in a global conflict against the witch Edea. The title introduces the Junction system, which allows players to strengthen characters by combining spells and Guardian Forces. Final Fantasy VIII is notable for its romantic plot between Squall and Rinoa, for the absence of traditional Magic Points (MP), and for the minigame Triple Triad.
